Borrowed this from my brothers Mormon site. Sort of what I want to build, but more interactive. More to follow.

I suspect I will have to use something like this or Ancestry.ca to build what we want and then find a way to import it and build links to family member pages. Each family member page could show the fan chart with them at the centre.

Update:

I suspect the fan chart as a main page starting point will not work. It may be easier to have the main page with a list of the living family members for login that would take them to a page with a fan chart specific to them.
