Strategic Paradigm: A book about how a “Strategic Paradigm is the shared, social, economic, and political values and priorities of a people, relevant to security preferences, as historically shaped and embedded by repeated interaction with and adaptation to their prevailing strategic and bio-physical environment.”

Definding Canada: Current multimedia project on the desk is to plan and find funding for a twelve month road trip all over Canada to research and write the book “Definding Canada” based on the concept of Strategic Culture as presented in my MA thesis. Graham MA Thesis June 2014 I am hoping to get a broadcaster interested in a kind of travelling reality TV mini-series as I ask people across Canada what they see as threats and opportunities in their lives, their communities and Canada.

The Battle of Moreuil Wood is a documentary project proposal that presents the 1918 Battle of Moreuil Wood as a worthwhile subject for a historical documentary relevant to Canadians.

The story of the Battle of Moreuil Wood is more than a forgotten gem in Canadian Military History. It is a story shared by 4 Canadian Regiments based out of Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario.

Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) (LdSH (RC))
The Royal Canadian Dragoons (RCD’s)
Fort Gary Horse
1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1 RCHA)

Principle among these, in terms of revered battle honours and heroics is Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) as it was one of their own, Lt Gordon Flowerdew, who led the March 30, 1918 charge against 300 Germans holding Moreuil Woods. Mortally wounded in the charge, Flowerdew was awarded the Victoria Cross.

Paradigm Wars: Multimedia and top secret!

Paradigm Wars: © A film trilogy project proposal

In Social Science, the term Paradigm is used to describe the set of experiences, beliefs and values that affect the way an individual perceives reality and responds to that perception.

An original two-part science fiction movie (with potential for a third part) that pits the Dark Age of the Declining Industrial Paradigm against an emerging, marine based, Paradigm of Sustainable Bio-Technology.

BOHICA Boadiccea: A tentative project for a fictionalized and sometimes humorous chronicling of my twelve year Naval Career as an older woman recruited into a misogynistic old boys club. Far too many in the RCN still operate on the belief that women, especially older women have no place on the bridge of a war ship.

Completed: is a project begun on 2010 that wrapped up with a successful book launch in Ottawa November 2014. I worked with a couple of friends within the military to collect the stories and photos of those who served Canada in Afghanistan. A massive undertaking that involved public relations, administrative juggling, editing, formatting designing, mini film production, and a lot of road trips.

More to follow – eventually
